Upgrade from 10.2.8 to 10.2.8.1

The guide describes upgrading from v.10.2.8 to v.10.2.8.1 of WorkFusion Intelligent Automation Cloud Enterprise.

Prerequisites

• You have Enterprise Edition up and running.
• All business processes are stopped.

Remember to run the commands as APPLICATION_USER.

Upgrade

To apply the patch, do the following:

1. On the Master1 server, download the patch package and extract it into the directory with the existing installer. Make sure to follow the same directory structure when downloading and extracting the patch package as in the example below:

   cd /opt/workfusion/wf_installer/
   mkdir -pv ./patches
   cd ./patches/
   
   curl -k -o 'patch_10.2.8.1.tar.gz' 'https://DOWNLOAD_LINK'
   
   tar xzf patch_10.2.8.1.tar.gz
   

   A new directory named patch_10.2.8.1 with the patch content appears.

2. Navigate to the directory with the patch content and run the command to apply it as in the example below:

   export ANSIBLE_PRIVATE_KEY_FILE="/PATH/TO/SSH-PRIVATE-KEY" && export ANSIBLE_VAULT_PASS='YOUR_ANSIBLE_VAULT_PASS'
   cd ./patch_10.2.8.1
   ./patch_10.2.8.1.sh apply
   

   The procedure takes about 10 minutes. The patch is successfully applied.

Upgrade in case of multi-point setup

If you apply the patch on the environment provisioned in the multi-point way, upload the patch package to all Master servers (in the case of the HA mode, there are three Master servers) and define additional arguments for the multi-point setup, as in the example:

./patch_10.2.8.1.sh apply -c local --limit master[0]  # When applying for the Master1 server in the multi-point way
./patch_10.2.8.1.sh apply -c local --limit master[1]  # When applying for the Master2 server in the multi-point way (in the case of the HA mode)
./patch_10.2.8.1.sh apply -c local --limit master[2]  # When applying for the Master3 server in the multi-point way (in the case of the HA mode)

The patch affects Master servers only, so you are not required to apply it on Agent(s) or any other servers.
