Upgrade from 10.3.2.2.6 to 10.3.2.2.7

The guide describes upgrading the Work.AI platform from v10.3.2.2.6 to v10.3.2.2.7.

Prerequisites​

  • You have Work.AI up and running.
  • All Business Processes are stopped.

Remember to run the commands as APPLICATION_USER.

Upgrade​

To apply the patch, do the following:

  1. On the Master1 server, download the patch package and extract it into the directory with the existing installer. Make sure to follow the same directory structure as in the example below when downloading and extracting the patch package:

    cd /opt/workfusion/wf_installer/
    mkdir -pv ./patches
    cd ./patches/
    curl -k -o 'patch_10.3.2.2.7.tar.gz' 'https://DOWNLOAD_LINK'
    tar xzf patch_10.3.2.2.7.tar.gz

    A new directory named patch_10.3.2.2.7 with the patch content appears.

  2. Navigate to the directory with the patch content and run the command to apply the patch as in the example below:

    export ANSIBLE_PRIVATE_KEY_FILE="/PATH/TO/SSH-PRIVATE-KEY" && export ANSIBLE_VAULT_PASS='YOUR_ANSIBLE_VAULT_PASS' 
    cd ./patch_10.3.2.2.7
    ./patch_10.3.2.2.7.sh apply

  3. Check that task-dispatcher-service is reachable from each Agent server:

    curl -s -o /dev/null -w '%{http_code}\n' http://127.0.0.1:9097/task-dispatcher-service/manage/health

    The expected output is 200.

Update dynamic Agent template​

The section applies only to environments with autoscaling enabled. If autoscaling is disabled (install_scaling: false), skip this section.

Dynamic Agents are created from disk images of AGENT1, so dynamic Agents created before the patch do not have the new NGINX configuration. After step 2 completes, rebuild the dynamic Agent template from the patched AGENT1:

cd /opt/workfusion/wf_installer/
./install.sh update dynamic-agent

The command stops AGENT1, recreates the dynamic Agent disk images and template, and starts AGENT1 again. Dynamic Agents that are already running keep the old configuration until autoscaling replaces them.

Rollback​

To roll back the patch, run the rollback script:

cd /opt/workfusion/wf_installer/patches/patch_10.3.2.2.7
./patch_10.3.2.2.7.sh rollback

The rollback restores the previous versions of task-dispatcher-service, worker-management-service, the Workspace UI artifacts, and manifest.yml. The NGINX configuration on Agent servers and the ZooKeeper property remain unchanged.
