Recognize tables and detect text

OCR supports two versions of Abbyy SDK: FREngine 11 and FREngine 12.

  • API for FREngine 11: /api/v1/..
  • API for FREngine 12: /api/v2/..

The DetectTextOnImage and AggressiveTableDetection request parameters are added to API's /processDocument and /processImage for v2. These parameters are off by default and have the false value. To enable them, set the value to true.

AggressiveTableDetection​

The setting turns on aggressive table detection allowing to recognize as many tables as possible, including tables without borders. It is recommended for documents that contain a lot of tables only.
