Distribute configuration

After you prepare the required configuration on the main installation server, distribute the PACKAGE_DIR/certificates folder, along with config.yml, hosts.yml, ports.yml, and rpa.yml files across all other Linux servers.

Upload configuration files to servers

  1. Create the wf_configs.tar.gz archive with the listed files:

    $ tar czvf wf_configs.tar.gz certificates config.yml hosts.yml ports.yml rpa.yml
  2. Copy wf_configs.tar.gz to all other servers.

    For that, you can use PythonSimpleHTTPServer. Start the HTTP server on any server's port that can be accessed by other servers:

    Example: SimpleHTTPServer is on port 9999

    python -m SimpleHTTPServer 9999

    After running the command in a specific directory, the content of the directory can be downloaded via HTTP (see further).

Transfer configuration to other Linux servers

To prepare other Linux servers, perform the following steps on each Linux server, except the one where the archive was prepared:

  1. Log in to a target server as Administrator and download wf_configs.tar.gz from the server where the archive was prepared:

    cd /opt/workfusion/wf_installer

    # install curl to download configs from the Master server over HTTP (or you can copy wf_configs.tar.gz using any other available option)
    $ yum -y install curl
    $ curl -o 'wf_configs.tar.gz' http://master_hostname:9999/wf_configs.tar.gz
  2. Unpack configuration files and certificates:

    $ tar xzvf wf_configs.tar.gz -C /opt/workfusion/wf_installer/
  3. Repeat steps 1-2 on all other Linux servers.
