Licenses

WorkFusion works on a subscription model that usually lasts for one year. For effective utilization, the users need to activate four (sometimes five) licenses within the WorkFusion ecosystem. All of these are from external OEMs except the proprietary one from WorkFusion.

For the product operation, you need the following licenses:

  • WorkFusion license
  • ABBYY FineReader Engine license
  • Elastic ELK license

Each of these licenses has a different activation mode, active period, and way to find out the expiration dates. You may also activate expiration notifications for some of the licenses. The list below illustrates these details.

WorkFusion

The WorkFusion license helps you with the initial installation of the Work.AI platform. For license operation, remember the following pointers:

  • Activation: to receive the installation file, raise a Service Desk ticket or ask your Account Manager to activate the license.
  • Active period: the license remains active till the end of your agreement with WorkFusion.
  • Expiration date: the license doesn't expire during your agreement with WorkFusion.
  • Expiration notification: there is no provision for notification as the license doesn't expire during your agreement with WorkFusion.
  • License renewal: the license doesn't require renewal during your agreement with WorkFusion.

ABBYY FineReader Engine

ABBYY's FineReader Engine enables you to scan physical documents and extract and process relevant information using OCR. For license operation, remember the following pointers:

  • Activation: read about the activation process in the guide.
  • Active period: the license isn't time-limited. Once you have exhausted the allotted quota, upgrade the license for additional OCR pages.
  • Expiration date: no expiration date.
  • Expiration notification: there is no provision for notification, and you need to manually check the expiration date.
  • License renewal: to extend the active period, raise a Service Desk ticket or ask your account manager.

ELK

The initial installation of the Work.AI platform enables the 30-day trial license for Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana (ELK). For production purposes, you should upgrade to a full version license. For license operation, remember the following pointers:

  • Activation: to receive the product key, raise a Service Desk ticket or ask your account manager to activate the license.
  • Active period: the license remains active for at least 365 days from the start date. All current licenses become invalid following the applicable expiration dates.
  • Expiration date: verify the status of your license as described in the guide.
  • Expiration notification: there is no provision for notification, and you need to manually check the expiration date.
  • License renewal: WorkFusion support proactively reaches out to you when the license is due for renewal.
