Migrate configurations and BP from IA Cloud Business to IA Cloud Enterprise

The page describes how to migrate configuration and Business Process data from IA Cloud Business to IA Cloud Enterprise. The guide assumes that you have parallel installations of both IA Cloud Business and IA Cloud Enterprise because the in-place upgrade is impossible.

The process consists of the following steps:

1. Export your Business Processes from Control Tower.
2. Import Business Processes to IA Cloud Enterprise.
3. Check Business Process execution.
4. Configure Schedules in Control Tower.

Migrate Business Processes from Control Tower

To migrate Business Processes from Control Tower, do as folllows.

1. Log in to Control Tower of IA Cloud Business installation.

2. Go to Business Processes > View All.

3. For every Business Process you want to export, do the following:

   1. Open Business Process Details and go to the Packages tab.

   

   1. On the Packages tab, click New Package.

   

   1. Specify the Package name, description, select Data Stores that you want to be a part of the Package, and then click Save.

   

   1. In the Packages list, select the newly created one and click Download.

Import Business Processes to IA Cloud Enterprise

To import Business Processes to IA Cloud Enterprise:

1. Log in to Control Tower of IA Cloud Enterprise installation as a user with Export/Import permission.

2. Go to Business Processes > View All, and click the More (...) button.

   

3. In the drop-down menu, click Import Package.

4. In the Import Business Process window, click the Add button, select a Business Process Package from your workstation, and confirm your selection.

   If you import this Business Process for the first time, you are able to see the Business Process Package details. If your IA Cloud Business version is different from the version of IA Cloud Enterprise to which you are importing, you see a notification that Business Process was created in a different version of the platform.

5. Click Import to import your Business Process to Control Tower.

Check Business Process execution

After the import is complete, view the Business Process list by clicking the link on the Import screen or go to the from navigation menu > Business Processes > View All. Make sure that your Business Process appears in the list and run it the usual way.

Configure Schedules in Control Tower

If you had schedules configured to run the Business Process in IA Cloud Express automatically, you might want to have the same schedules in IA Cloud Enterprise. There's no mechanism to migrate the schedules automatically, so you have to re-create them manually. For more details, refer to Schedule Business Process.
