Issues associated with RPA component crash

The article mainly refers to issues related to the crashes of such components as the manipulation framework, an Agent, or a Worker.

In case one of the above components crashes, collect the following data and connect with the WorkFusion support:

  • Exact time when the issue occurred

  • Possible steps to reproduce the issue

  • DEBUG logs of the crashed component about the time when the issue occurred

  • Memory, crash, or heap dumps

  • Version file from the RPA installation directory

  • Data about any patches provided

  • Windows events

When a Worker cannot be restored after a crash, before restarting the service, collect thread dumps from the Unit Agent (for the server installation) or the Master Agent (for VDI). To do this, follow the steps below:

  1. Create the C:/dumps folder.

When you want to change the location or the folder name, update the path in line 10 in the attached bat script.

  2. Click the link to download the bat script for thread dump generation.

  3. In cmd, run the following command:

    get_threaddump_windows.bat PID 15

where you need to replace the PID with the PID of the Java process for which you are generating thread dumps.
