Sort and filter assignments
Sort assignments
To manage your work conveniently, you can sort assignments based on their business criteria. To select columns for display, use the Configure option in the top right corner.
The available columns by default are as follows:
Assignee. The assignees by tasks are displayed. Mind that you cannot sort assignments by Assignee.
Creation date (the default sorting order). The assignments are sorted by the creation date, with the newest assignments displayed at the top of the list.
Priority. The assignments are arranged in order of importance—the ones with the highest priority appear at the top of the list.

Task. The assignments are sorted by the task type.
Title. The assignments are sorted by their names.
Custom date and Custom order. The assignments are sorted based on the FIFO (First In, First Out) approach, with the oldest (first) ones located above others.
cautionThe sorting by Custom date and Custom order works if you have set up FIFO in Control Tower. For more details on custom rendering, refer to FIFO.
Due date. The assignments are sorted by expiry date, with the closest due date shown at the top of the list.
You can also customize the information shown in the assignment list. To do so, add custom business attributes and then proceed to the column configuration.

Filter assignments
Filtering options are located in the top left corner.

By default, you have two filters—Task (task type) and Assignee. Active filters are highlighted. To apply the default filters, do as follows:
Click the Task drop-down box and select one or more checkboxes.

You can use the Search field in the Task drop-down box. To find an assignment, start entering its type.

Click the Assignee drop-down box and select one or more checkboxes.

The Assignee search option allows you to search by the first or last name and username.

To set up more filters, follow the instruction below:
Click the + Filter button. By default, you can filter your assignments by priority. To add more business attributes as your filtering criteria, see Set up filter attribute.

Select business attributes. Automatically, the added filters appear on the top panel, and corresponding assignments are displayed in the queue.

For each selected filter, in the Search field, you can look for business attributes. Start entering search criteria, and available options appear.

Proceed with further filtering by selecting business attributes from the newly added filters.
To discard filtering results, open the related drop-down list and deselect any business attributes. The assignment list is changed accordingly.
To set all filters to the default state, click Clear all.
