RPA Express 2.0.1 is a maintenance release to fix the issues reported for the previous version and contains updates of the RPA Express platform components, such as Control Tower, RPA, Platform Monitor and WorkSpace along with a number of improvements.

Management

Platform Monitor

As a part of platform unification, statistics logs collected for Platform Monitor are stored in %workfusion-studio-installation-directory%/logs.

Components startup behavior

Server machine - all components are launched by default upon RPA Express start.
Workstation and Server + Workstation - Control Tower and OCR are switched off by default upon RPA Express start.

RPA

Bot installation rules and startup behavior

Server machine - Bot 0 is not installed.
Workstation - only Bot 0 is installed and turned on automatically after starting RPA Express.
Server + Workstation - by default Bot 0 is turned on after starting RPA Express, WorkFusion Studio uses Bot 0 only, additional Bots are added according to the quantity defined during installation.

When using Restart all components in the tray menu, Bot 0 remains turned off, if this is its default state.

WorkFusion Studio

Bot can type 3x faster when you use the Enter Keystrokes action.
about:xxx syntax is supported for Open Website Action. More details on how to use the feature you can find in The about protocol.
Number Format and Date Format actions can be embedded in Excel actions.

Deployment

Support of national Windows versions has been implemented in RPA Express 2.0.1 installation.
Required disk space is checked during installation.
Recommended number of Bots is calculated depending on resources of the machine.

Bug fixes

Deployment

RPA Express Downloader fails due to incorrect time on the target machine.
Resume download fails when switching between connections to Internet.
Installation fails on Windows Enterprise Edition.
Internet Explorer is not configured for Bots.
Path to the install directory is not validated.
Inactivity timeout is enabled for Bots causing session lock.
Installation fails under Windows Home Edition.
Some of Bots are not logged in after resuming from Sleep.
Bots do not log in automatically upon startup.
Bots do not start automatically upon login.
RPA Express icon doesn't appear in the tray in Windows 7, 8, 8.1.
RPA Express username is not validated during installation.

RPA

OCR does not work on Server + Workstation machines.
Region height cannot be bigger than image width.
Wait for image action crash.
Bot 0 does not start on Server + Workstation machines when using the tray menu.
Execution log does not support regional characters.

Known issues

Sporadic crash of Inspector causing WorkFusion Studio crash.
Inspector highlights elements from the second attempt.
OCR fails when executed from the Code perspective.
Sample Business Processes are not imported.
Inspector crashes sporadically while inspecting Outlook or Excel.
Unstable playback of Enter Keystrokes actions.
Platform Monitor displays the error in OCR status (Server installation type).
