Speed up Crowd Task completion
There are many different ways you can approach speeding-up a slow Task.
Try to get feedback from Workers:
- Message Workers that have worked on the Task or have the Qualification for the Task asking them for feedback regarding the Task and whether they are experiencing issues with the Task. It could be that the Task is low priced or they are not clear on the Instructions.
- Check any Workers messages that have been sent regarding the Task to see if a problem has been pin-pointed.
- Incorporate any feedback that has been sent and re-message Workers to inform them that changes were made.
Try to recruit more Workers:
- Message Workers from other similar Tasks that have done good work.
- Message Workers from other Crowds or instances.
Use Proven Top Workers from Past Tasks.
Advertise on forums, such as:
- CloudMeBaby.com
- TurkerNation
- MTurkForum
- MTurkGrind
- MTurkWiki.net
If the Task is posted to CV you can also try recruiting from Craigslist, Indeed, and so on.
Increase the price. This makes the Task more attractive and also updates the posting date that makes it appear as a newer Task and further up on the list of Tasks. You can apply a Price Strategy to promote your Task.
Update the keywords or description. This helps explain the Task better to the Workers and again, updates the posting date making it appear as a newer Task.
Reduce Qualification Restrictions. You can try to reduce Qualification requirements (such as 5,000 Tasks completed to 1,000 Tasks completed).
Re-run Qualification Task. If you are using a custom Qualification for the Task, try to re-run it so more people are qualified.
Run a training Task. If Workers are not working on the Task because of a lack of understanding, consider running a training that explains how to approach and complete the Task.
Use a different Crowd. You can choose from WorkSpace, Mturk, Usamp, Elance, and so on. Mturk and Usamp crowds can both be used for Micro Tasks.
Post to multiple crowds. You can send the same Task to different crowds together to get more Workers.
