Deployment architecture
Platform Monitor for RPA helps in maintaining RPA processes. There are two scenarios for deploying Platform Monitor for managing the RPA infrastructure:
- VDI: 1 RPA Bot per serverRDP-in-RDP
- Multiple RPA Bot's per server
Primary features:
- Manage RPA processes from the UI (start, stop, restart).
- Automatically start Active GUI sessions on Windows servers after reboot.
- Automatically restart RPA processes (Bot Relay, Bot) in case of failure.
- Monitor RPA Server health.
Application Platform Monitor might not work properly under non-standard deployments.
VDI
1 RPA Bot per server
In this approach, each RPA Server has all RPA components in a single active session. No additional RDP connections are created:

RDP-in-RDP
Multiple RPA Bot's per server
In this approach, each RPA Server bootstraps two local RDP connections. There is default limit in Windows Servers, which is two active RDP connections at a time. After primary Platform Monitor is started, it will maintain two active RDP connections to the same host.
