Overview
In versions prior to 10.2.2, IA Cloud Enterprise utilizes Python 2 (typically, 2.7.5) that is part of the Red Hat 7.x operating system. In particular, Python is used by the installer (Ansible), as well as ML Workers in out-of-the-box (OOTB) algorithms and models based on Custom Python Pipelines (CPPs).
There is also a set of models (CPPs) using Python 3, such as:
- Adverse Media Monitoring (NSS) Use Case
- Payment Sanctions Screening (PSS) Use Case
- Image Enhancement models for the Identity Verification Use Case
No OOTB mechanism is available to enable the usage of different Python environments by different ML Workers in IA Cloud Enterprise.
To add a custom Python environment, prepare a distribution bundle with standalone Python and a set of dependencies and set up the new environment on Agents.
caution
ML Workers can use only one Python environment at a time—either Python 2 or 3. That means, it is impossible to run ML Workers based on Python 2 and those based on Python 3 simultaneously.
