RPA Server Upgrade

Upgrade under Windows

  1. Back up the current installation. Copy RPA folder (C:\RPA) to C:\RPA_old.

  2. Uninstall RPA using the respective item from Programs and Features in Control Panel.

  3. Install RPA as described in RPA Server Installation.

  4. If hub.json and nodeX.json in C:\RPA\rpa-grid\ have been modified in the previous installation for any particular purposes, replace the newly created files with those from the backup, for example, C:\RPA_old\rpa-grid\.

Upgrade under Linux

  1. Run the following file to stop RPA Manager:

    $INSTALL_DIR/apps/rpa-manager/stop.sh

  2. Replace the RPA Manager file (rpa-manager-server-$version.war) in the RPA Manager folder ($INSTALL_DIR/apps/rpa-manager/) with the new one.

  3. Run the following file to start RPA Manager:

    $INSTALL_DIR/apps/rpa-manager/start.sh

Application properties

The following new properties should be added to the application.properties file:

  • find.node.retry.count: retry count for node search (default value: 10).
  • find.node.wait.timeout: wait between retries to find a node in milliseconds (default value: 10000).
