WorkFusion Analytics Server 9

Backup widgets means download them from WorkFusion Analytics Server.

1. Open WorkFusion Analytics Server page and select appropriate Site.
2. Click Projects.
3. Choose the needed one.
4. Find workbook for downloading and expand workbook menu by pointing and clicking three dots.
5. Click Download. Workbook file .twbx will be downloaded.

WorkFusion Analytics Server 10

Backup widgets means download them from WorkFusion Analytics Server.

1. Open WorkFusion Analytics Server page and select appropriate Site.

2. Click Projects.

3. Choose the needed one.

   

4. Find workbook for downloading and expand workbook menu by pointing and clicking three dots.

5. Click Download. Workbook file .twbx will be downloaded.

   

Restore

There are two ways to restore (publish) a widget on WorkFusion Analytics Server using:

• Deployment script
• WorkFusion Analytics Desktop

Deployment script

note

All server settings should refer to the destination server.

1. Open BI Server installation: Workbook deployment.
2. Complete steps from Pre-publishing preparations.
3. At the Workbook publishing: Prepare new workbook files step, use the recently downloaded workbook file.
4. Complete the remaining steps.

WorkFusion Analytics Desktop

Change connections (optional)

If all connections to database server remain the same, skip the step and proceed to the next.

1. Open recently downloaded workbook file in WorkFusion Analytics Desktop.

2. Go to the worksheet by pointing and clicking Go to sheet button in the Dashboard section.

   

3. On Data tab right click on data source and choose Edit data source....

   

4. Edit data base connection settings and click OK. Move to the dashboard sheet.

   

Sign into Server

1. On the menu bar, choose Server > Sign in....

   

2. Enter BI server URL and click Connect.

   

3. Enter WorkFusion Analytics Server credentials and click Sign In. You should have Server or Site Administrator role.

   

4. Select appropriate Site for publishing.

   

Publish workbook

1. On the menu bar, choose Server > Publish workbook....

   

2. Check the Project and Name fields.

3. Choose the Show sheets as tabs option.

   Optionally, there is an opportunity to add refresh extract schedule.

   

4. Click Edit in the Sheets section and select sheets to publish.

   

5. Click Edit in the Data Sources section and change publish type to Embedded in workbook and authentication mode to Allow refresh access.

   

6. Click Publish.

7. Check the published workbook on BI server.
