Platform Monitor notifications
Email incident notifications
Currently Platform Monitor supports sending notifications to email with the following types of notifications:
- Incident is created
- Incident-updated
- Component status changed
Out-of-the-box configuration of notifications
Currently, the notifications.yml file provided in the package.
Notifications are disabled by default in configuration.
Here is the config with properties included by default. Simply enable the notifications in the configuration file to start receiving notification to the email.

Enable notifications to email
Enable notifications
Find the notifications.yml file in the package and set the enabled property to true.

Configure SMTP settings to start receiving notifications to email
Configure following properties in file to enable SMTP:

Set up subscription
To receive emails, set subscription by adding
to: <user1@yourdomain.com>
under "topics" list inside notifications as per following example.

Use a comma if you require to set up notifications to several emails.

Set public URL
During installation, PM doesn't know about a public URL.
Platform Monitor requireds public URL to create a correct link to Platform Monitor used for email.
Platform Monitor uses the Ethernet interface host by default. Platform Monitor is doing a reverse lookup on the server's IP address using the naming service (DNS) configured in your O/S.
Set the public URL set property:
