Configure timeout to reconnect

The Master Agent, Unit Agent, and Workers connect via REST API during a reconnect procedure. The Worker application requests the Unit Agent in the RoboticsFlowPlugin plugin. The Unit Agent requests the Master Agent. To configure a reconnection timeout for a Worker and Unit Agent, follow the instructions below.

Worker

Set up the Worker timeout in the command line arguments:

-Dbot.execution.robotics.flow.plugin.rest.connectTimeout=60000^
-Dbot.execution.robotics.flow.plugin.rest.connectionRequestTimeout=60000^
-Dbot.execution.robotics.flow.plugin.rest.rest.socketTimeout=60000^

All values are in milliseconds. If no specific values are set, the arguments default to 60,000 ms each.

Unit Agent

Configure a timeout for the bot-agent application in its configuration yml file:

timeout:
connect: 2000
socket: 60000

If no specific values are set, the arguments default to 2,000 and 60,000 ms respectively.

Windows RPA installer

Configure both modules in windows-rpa-installer:

  1. Pass the configuration for the Worker by the command line argument in worker.bat.
  2. Specify Unit Agent’s parameters in the bot-agent-unit.yml configuration file.
